Larry N. Gitis..my companion for over two weeks now. I squeek! Some people are delighted, I guess, that I can't talk as well as I usually can, and...um...singing, is at best, the worst. Rehearsal Saturday afternoon in Dallas (PA) was pretty pitiful as re: my vocal capabilities.
The great news is that Kemer's Web Designs is now working on a webpage for the Starfires, which should be up in a couple of weeks. They decided to go with starfiresforever.com, which I just kind of snatched out of the air when putting together a Xanga journal page. If you scroll down to "Sites I read," and click on "starfiresforever," you'll see a couple of notes I put on there, much of which, I understand, will be incorporated into the webpage. I will probably post on here when the starfiresforever.com is up, as well as e-mail everybody I ever heard of or had contact with. ( Hey, bank! Remember that car loan I had with you guys 15 years ago? Well, guess what?....) There will be snatches of songs the Starfires recorded,. as well as some old pics and some recent photos. The funny thing is, I didn't play on any of the recordings. They were recorded either before I joined or after I left. Sad to say, the guitarists who DID play on those recordings, Fred Kirkendahl and Rich " Stormy Patterson" Rodiger, have both passed away. So, guys, I love you and I am carrying on your legacy in playing on those songs. I hope I do you justice.
